Goldman Sachs selected FDC to implement the 10,000 Women Program in Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro. In a five-year period, 800 women received more than 160 hours of management training from FDC instructors.
The program develops the entrepreneurial talent, administrative capacity and management education of women in emerging markets. Criteria for selecting participants includes socioeconomic factors and business factors such as at least one year in the market, a minimum of five employees and the participant’s leadership position.
The program has an alumni network that meets annually to discuss topics of entrepreneurship management.
