Public Management
Secretary of State for Planning and Management at the State of Minas Gerais since 2007. Renata holds a BSc in Statistics from UFMG, a specialist certificate in Public Administration from Fundação João Pinheiro and a specialist certificate in Public Management and Urban Legislation from Universidade Cândido Mendes – Minas Gerais. She also attended the Advanced Management Program (PGA) at Fundação Dom Cabral. As a Secretary of State for Planning and Management, she also holds the position of president at the General Coordination Board for Planning, Management and Finance, being in charge of the coordination and integration of government strategic decisions and budgeting management. Public Servant at the State Department for Planning and Management, since 1985, holding various management positions in the state and federal governments.  In the Federal Government, Renata held the position of Assistant Secretary for Logistics and Information Technology at the Ministry for Planning, Budgeting and Management (1999 - 2002), being the Manager of the Program "Cost Reduction in Purchasing and Service Supply Contracting" designing and implementing the electronic auction system. Since 2003, Renata Vilhena has participated in the design and implementation of the State of Minas Gerais new management model, labelled "Management Shock”.
