Strategy
Mércio is an adjunct professor at Fundação Dom Cabral – FDC, for the areas of strategic marketing, strategic planning and execution management, formulation and implementation of models of organizational architecture and management.  Mercio Rosa holds a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration (Marketing and Strategic Administration) from Faculdade de Administração e Ciências Econômicas at UFMG (1998), a Specialization Certificate in Finance Management from Fundação João Pinheiro (1991) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Escola de Engenharia da UFMG (1984). He was trained in the use of the Balanced Scorecard Methodology in 1996, attending the course “Using the Balanced Scorecard to Measure Corporate Performance”, promoted by the International Quality & Productivity Center, in Boston, Massachussets, delivered by the methodology authors Robert Kaplan and David Norton.  Mercio is a faculty member of the graduate programs and in-company programs at IBMEC and taught in the graduate programs at FGV and IEC-PUC Minas. Professor Rosa held executive positions as Specialist in Information Systems at UNISYS Brasil; Planning and Corporate Performance Assessment Manager at TELEMIG; Corporate Development Manager at TELEMAR; Dean of the graduate program in Business Administration at Faculdades Promove. He has also conducted several strategic planning projects in companies from sectors such as telecommunications, engineering, cement, textile, metal-mechanical industry, steel industry, geology and drilling, automotive, energy, finance, media and advertisement, hospitality, retail, health, the federal, state and municipal governments, regulatory agencies, public defense agency, court of auditors, associations, cooperatives and pension funds. Professor Rosa conducted projects on organizational structure redesign in companies from the telecommunications, communication, media, services, advertisement, engineering and health segments.
