Strategy; Operations Management and Logistics
Ferrari works in the Operations area with process improvement in the areas of production, maintenance, integrated supply chain (purchasing, internal and external logistics) and HSE (safety, health, and environment); shared services center: development and implementation; strategy: development and implementation of strategy and governance: integrated management system and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance). He holds a master's degree in Integrated Management from SENAC (2008), a specialization certificate in Business Administration from USP (1996) and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from UNICAMP (1984). He is a specialist in Loss Management and Control (ILCI - Integrated Loss Control Institute, USA) and in Six Sigma - Black Belt (DOW-USA – 2005). He is adjunct professor and scientific advisor at PAEX program at Fundação Dom Cabral – FDC. Guest professor at IMT – graduate program in Industry 4.0, since 2020 and was professor at Senac in the subject Environmental Management System (EMS) in 2011. He has 30 years of experience as an executive in companies (Dow Química, Nitroquímica and Grupo Lidera) in Brazil and USA, working in the areas mentioned above. Some positions held: CEO, director of shared services center for the latin American area, project director, integrated chain director, plant manager and HSE manager. He has 10 years of experience as a Consultant at The Highland Group and at Symnetics, having led projects to increase production and improve reliability in the maintenance of a sugar and ethanol plant; improvement of production management in a sugar and alcohol plant; maximization of the production lines of an auto parts company in order to reduce costs; re-engineering the purchasing area of a pet food company, with the objective of improving the service provided and increasing profit with more strategic purchasing; review of the business strategy of an oil prospecting company with the objective of increasing productivity; review of the commercial strategy of an animal food company and implementation of a new product portfolio. Regular speaker at IQPC (International Quality & Productivity Center), IIR (Institute for International Research), Marcus Evans and IBC (International Business Communications) in Brazil and abroad, with the themes: Self-managing teams, Integrated HSE Management System and Shared Services Center, 2006-2011.
