Jairo Barreto holds an MBA Certificate in Business Management from ESUDA, Recife/PE and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Escola de Engenharia Industrial de São José dos Campos (SP). He is an adjunct professor at Fundação Dom Cabral, FDC, since 2004 and scientific advisor of PAEX – Partners for Excellence, since May 2011. Jairo Barreto held the positions of Quality, Planning and Systems Manager (1995 – 1998), Production Superintendent – refinery and smelter (1990 to 1995); Engineering and Maintenance Supervisor/superintendent (1979 to 1990) at Alcoa Alumínio S.A, coordinating and participating in working teams and delivering speeches in Brazil and abroad (USA, Australia and Japan). He was a consultant in Management Excellence Model according to criteria from PNQ (National Quality Award)/ PQGF – GESPUBLICA (National Award in Public Management); coordinated the application process of Alcoa Poços in the PNQ (National Quality Award), being the company  a finalist in 1995 and a winner in 1996; Member of the Examining Board of PNQ - National Quality Award (1997 to 2001), Senior Examiner of PNQ (2002 to 2006) and Advisor of PNQ  (2007); Instructor of PNQ (2002 to 2008); Jairo Barreto was also a Senior Examiner, according to the PQGF criteria (2000 to 2002), working in programs of management assessment at Petrobras in Brazil (1996 to 1998) and its energy subsidiary units Petrobras Energia PESA, in Argentina (2004 to 2005); Senior Examiner of Furnas Excellence Award (2000 to 2002),  PQGF (2000 to 2002) and PQRio (2003). He held the positions of Strategic Planning Committee Leader of the PQGF, of Leader of the Ethical Evaluation Committee for the Presidency Executive Office, and professor in the graduate program in Strategic Management at UCB in Brasilia (2001). Professor of Strategic Management in companies such as: Grupo Odilon Santos, Neoenergia, Areva Renewables Brasil, Eletrosul, Serpro, Embraco, Furnas, Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Limeira, Sama, Coca Cola, Ministério do Turismo - MTur ; Tribunal Regional Federal 3rd chapter / SP, FENACOR – Federação Nacional dos Corretores de Seguros, SPOA – Ministério da Fazenda, Cremepe, Albras, Fiepe and Fieb, among others. Jairo Barreto deals with business management methodologies such as Process Management, Client Satisfaction, TPM, 5 S’s, Benchmarking, GPD, MASP and others, to promote continuous improvement in processes and in the organizational results eventually.
