Guilherme Amado holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from UFMG, a Specialization Certificate in Financial Adminstration from Fundação Dom Cabral, a Specialization Certificate in Accounting from Fundação Getúlio Vargas,and an MBA Degree from Birmingham University, UK. Guilherme is an adjunct professor at Fundação Dom Cabral - FDC, since 2014, working in different areas such as finance monitor, scientific advisor at PAEX (Partners for Excellence Program) and teaching Finance at the MBA programs, PDA (Shareholder and Business Family Development Program) and in custom programs. In over 30 years of professional career Guilherme Amado has worked for the corporate banking sector at Lloyds Bank Plc, Deutsche Bank and Banco BBA Creditanstalt S/A. He was also director at Unibanco Corporate for Minas Gerais and the northeastern region, ending his banking career as director of Banco Itaú BBA S/A in São Paulo. Guilherme Amado has also held executive positions at Grupo Acesita S/A (currently Aperam), as director and superintendent, and financial director at the mining company Ferrous Resources. It’s relevant to mention, Guilherme Amado is a member of the board at Aceprev, (pension fund of Acesita’s employees), having been elected the financial executive in Minas Gerais in 2003, being awarded with the prize “O Equilibrista”. He is a member of the advisory board of companies and consultant in finance and strategy.
