Flavia Alvim holds a Master’s Degree in Development Management from London School of Economics and Political Science – LSE (2009), a Specialization Certificate in Social Management from Fundação João Pinheiro (2006) and Bachelors’ Degrees in International Relations from PUC Minas, and in Business Administration from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais – UFMG, (2003). Flávia is an adjunct professor at Fundação Dom Cabral – FDC and she works on projects and researches in the areas of International Business, Strategy, Sustainability since 2009. She is also a manager and advisor for the EMBA projects at Fundação Dom Cabral – FDC. Flávia Alvim developed a group research/consulting project for the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), on Corporate Engagement in Primary Education: context, constraints and motivation, as part of the Master’s program research, in 2009. Author of articles published in journals, books, scientific magazines and international conference proceedings such as: International value creation: a new model for Latin American Multinationals (Journal of Globalization, Competitiveness and Governability, 2010). Author of the article Maximizing triple bottom line benefits abroad: the quest of Brazilian Multinationals, awarded as the Best Paper at the Annual Meeting of the Latin American Chapter of the Academy of International Business (AIB-LAT), in April, 2012. Co-author of the Case Metalfrio: Achieving global leadership in the plug-in commercial refrigeration industry. Flavia Alvim attended the Junior Faculty Consortium at the International Management Division, Academy of Management, San Antonio, Texas, EUA, in 2011. Co- author of the scientific article awarded as among the “10 Best Articles” at the Annual Meeting of the Latin American Chapter of the Academy of International Business (AIB-LAT), in June 2010. She worked as draftsman in the corporate partnership Conections, Organizations, World (COMn) Presidents, Internationalization  at Fundação Dom Cabral, in 2010.
