Elson Valim holds a B.Sc. in Social Sciences from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and a specialization certificate in Organizational Behaviour Management from the California American University. He has attended several complementary courses in the areas of Leadership, Organizational and Human Resources Development and Strategic Planning, such as Situational Leadership Advanced Seminar - Paul Hersey, Organization Renewal Process - Gordon Lippitt, The Competitive Company - Peter Drucker, The New Era of Competition - C. K. Prahalad and The Process Centered Organization - Steven Stanton. Valim has extensive professional experience as an executive in large national and international companies, such as Bunge, Mahle, and Mendes Junior, in the areas of Human Resources Development, Organizational Development, and Strategic Planning, having worked in Brazil and abroad. He has also worked as a consultant in the area of Executive Development at Centro de Produtividade do Brasil (CPB). He was the Executive Director of Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC), for 15 years. During this time, he coordinated the Technical Advisory Committee of the Business Technology Center (CTE) and he led the Top Management Summit Program, targeted at Presidents of large companies, such as Sadia, Rhodia, IBM, Telefônica, Brasilprev, Serasa, Sul América, Natura and Algar. He is adjunct professor at FDC, where he has managed and facilitated several Management Development and Strategic Planning programs for FDC clients, such as BDMG, BESC, BNB, Grupo Abril and Globo. Since 2009, Valim has expanded his activities to the third sector, embracing the role of Coordinating Manager of the Partnership with Social Organizations program at FDC and Technical Advisor to several organizations.
