André Almeida is a philosopher and professor at Fundação Dom Cabral. He works in the areas of Ethics, Critical Thinking, Political Philosophy, Leadership, Individual and Career Development, Purpose, Legacy, Philosophical Counselling, Ethical Coaching, Spiritual Practice, Human Dignity, Diversity and Freedom. For five years André has been an Associate-Tutor in the philosophy department at the University of Sussex. In the beginning of his career he worked at the Division on Investment, Technology and Enterprise Development of the UN (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) in Gevena, Switzerland. Afterwards he worked as an UN consultant in Brazil for the same Division. André has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from PUC-Minas, a specialization certificate in Management from Fundação Dom Cabral, a masters degree in Philosophy from the University of Sussex, and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Sussex. André is the author of the book Agent Particularism: The Ethics of Human Dignity.
