Fundação Dom Cabral was established in 1976 by Dom Serafim Fernandes de Araújo and Professor Emerson de Almeida as an autonomous institution dedicated to executive education. Our work began in close collaboration with companies in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, and gradually expanded to Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, supporting organizations in modernizing management practices and advancing people development. From the outset, we have sought to adapt contemporary management concepts to the Brazilian context, guided by a philosophy grounded in dialogue, partnership, and knowledge exchange.
Today, FDC operates campuses in Belo Horizonte and Nova Lima, in the state of Minas Gerais, and in São Paulo, fully equipped to educate undergraduate and graduate students, develop executives, and advance knowledge creation.

Since its early days, Fundação Dom Cabral has embraced a global perspective, building strong international alliances and partnerships with more than 60 renowned institutions worldwide. These include INSEAD (France), Kellogg School of Management (USA), two of our long-standing partners, as well as IMD (Switzerland), Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and China Europe International Business School (China), Universidad de Los Andes School of Management (Colombia) and Gordon Institute of Business Science (South Africa).
In 2009, this global vision was further strengthened with the creation of the International Advisory Council, which brings together leaders from the business, academic, public and NGOs sectors representing more than 20 different countries. The Council brings together a network of key thinkers and decision makers who share a common interest in Brazil, FDC and the role of business schools and executive education in creating positive and lasting impact on society.
Throughout our journey, we have continuously evolved. Reinvention is part of who we are.
