Discover the Cities Behind Our Campuses

Brazil is a country of vast cultural richness, economic diversity, and dynamic urban centers. The cities that host FDC’s campuses - Belo Horizonte, Nova Lima, and São Paulo - reflect this vibrancy and offer international students, executives, and academic partners a unique blend of business opportunities, quality of life, and cultural depth.

These cities sit within some of the most important economic corridors in Brazil. They represent innovation ecosystems, strategic business hubs, and culturally rich environments that shape the learning experience at FDC. Each offers its own identity: Belo Horizonte as a leading metropolis in Minas Gerais with a thriving creative economy; Nova Lima as one of Brazil’s most prosperous cities with high-quality living standards; and São Paulo as the country’s global megacity and Latin America’s largest business center.

Explore the landscapes, histories, and opportunities that surround our campuses.

Belo Horizonte

Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais, is one of Brazil’s major metropolitan centers, known for its welcoming atmosphere, dynamic service economy, and strong tradition in business, innovation, and culture.

As of 2026, the Belo Horizonte metropolitan area is home to approximately 6.4 million people, marking it as the third-largest metro area in Brazil.

Campus Belo Horizonte

The city proper has a population of about 2.5 million residents, making it the sixth-largest city in the country.  Its urban development, characterized by modernist architecture and a layout inspired by Paris and Washington D.C., reflects its emergence as a planned city in the late 19th century.

Belo Horizonte is a strategic gateway to Minas Gerais’s extensive industrial clusters, mining sector, and emerging technology landscape. Its service-driven economy is strengthened by the strong presence of professionals across finance, technology, and creative industries.

For international students, Belo Horizonte offers a balanced lifestyle with renowned gastronomy, lush green spaces, and a thriving cultural scene. Its metropolitan composition blends tradition and innovation, making it an ideal environment for academic immersion and executive development
