Tadeu Barros

An innovative, results-focused professional, currently serving as Special Secretary of Planning and Budget for the State of Alagoas, where he has helped improve the quality of public spending and the efficiency of the State. Among his most relevant achievements is savings of approximately 1.5% of the budget through BI initiatives on the State payroll, and the creation of a multidisciplinary team to analyze expenses and promote the quality of public spending. Adoption of Artificial Intelligence for citizen services; the country's best performance in the latest edition of the Competitiveness Ranking; and the implementation of an electronic case-processing environment in the State. Tadeu has previously served as Director of Logistics, Director of Planning, and Advisor at the Secretaria de Fazenda/MG (Minas Gerais State Finance Department), where he won the Innovation in Public Management award. Holding a Master's and a Bachelor's in Public Administration from Fundação João Pinheiro, he is a professor on leave from IBMEC/MG and the Escola de Governo of FJP/MG. Speaker in the areas of government planning, innovation in public management, technology and leadership.
