Sidney Ito

Partner at KPMG Consultores, and leader of the Risk Consulting and Corporate Governance practice in Brazil and South America. He has extensive experience as an advisor to various boards of directors, family councils, fiscal councils and audit committees of publicly listed and family-owned companies, covering projects related to corporate governance, compliance with regulatory and capital markets rules, risk assessment and management, and process and internal controls management. Holding a Bachelor's in Accounting Sciences from the Universidade de São Paulo, he is or has been an instructor in the Corporate Governance MBA at FIPECAFI-USP, at IBGC, at Fundação Dom Cabral, at AMCHAM, at B3, CRC-SP and CRA-SP. He is coordinator of the Audit and Risk Committee and of the Advisory Council of AACD-Associação de Assistência a Crianças Deficientes, CEO of KPMG's ACI Institute Brasil, was part of IBGC's executive board between 2010 and 2015, and is a member of several organizations dedicated to the development and advancement of Corporate Governance practices in Brazil.
