Ricardo Garcia da Silva Carvalho
Ricardo Garcia built a 34-year career at Grupo ArcelorMittal. He holds degrees in Business Administration (UNA Faculdade de Ciências Administrativas) and Economics (PUC Minas), a postgraduate degree in Human Resources (UFMG), as well as specialization courses at JUSE (Japan), INSEAD (France), Kellogg (USA) and Wharton (USA).
His last executive position was CEO of Belgo Arames, a strategic partnership between ArcelorMittal and Grupo Bekaert. Ricardo held this position between 2018 and April 2023. Previously, he served as Vice President of Human Resources, IT and Institutional Relations at ArcelorMittal Brasil. Ricardo worked at Grupo ArcelorMittal since 1989, when he joined Belgo Mineira as a supply analyst, moving through various areas and executive roles, in addition to serving as a board member at Fundação ArcelorMittal, Abertta Saúde and ArcelorMittal Sistemas. He is part of CEOs Legacy at Fundação Dom Cabral, whose main goal is to leave relevant and sustainable legacies for society.
Within this initiative, he is part of Grupo Impacto, a team of executives mobilized to promote diversity and inclusion within organizations, believing that it is through respect, embracing differences, and promoting growth opportunities for everyone that people will fully develop their potential.
Ricardo currently serves as a board member for companies and NGOs, in addition to being an angel investor in startups.
