Paulo Renato de Sousa

Paulo Renato is a Professor and Researcher in the fields of Operations Management and Logistics at Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC).

He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration, with a research focus on knowledge transfer in procurement, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas). He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from PUC Minas and Fundação Dom Cabral.

At FDC, he teaches in Professional Master’s, Graduate, Partnership, and Customized Executive Education programs. Throughout his career, he has worked with organizations such as Ambev, Bunge, Souza Cruz, FIESC, Novartis, Petrobras, Cardif, Algar, and SEST SENAT, among others.

He has also served as a faculty member at Newton Paiva University Center, Centro Universitário UNA, IBMEC, and SENAC. In addition, he worked as Logistics Advisor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais.

Professor Renato is the author of several national and international publications in the areas of Logistics, Operations Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Value Chains, and Distribution Channels.

His research interests focus on:

1. Logistics and Supply Chain Management, with an emphasis on supply chain integration, performance, and competitiveness.

2. Procurement and Knowledge Transfer, examining how organizations create, share, and apply knowledge in purchasing and sourcing processes.

3. Operations Management, including process improvement, operational efficiency, and value creation.

4. Value Chains and Distribution Channels, exploring strategic relationships among organizations and the management of distribution networks.

5. Organizational Collaboration and Performance in Supply Networks, with a focus on how interorganizational relationships contribute to operational and strategic outcomes.
