Nivio Ziviani
He is a guest speaker at the Dom Cabral Foundation in the area of Innovation. He holds a postdoctoral degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. He is Academic and Research Director of Kunumi, co-founder of Miner Technology Group, acquired by the Folha / UOL Group, Akwan Information Technologies, acquired by Google Inc. and Neemu Technologies, acquired by Linx in. He is Emeritus Professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG, coordinated the Computing area at CAPES and the Computing Committee of CNPq. He is a full member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, a member of the National Order of Scientific Merit in the Comendador and Grand-Cruz class. Author of the book Algorithms Project and works in the areas of algorithms, information retrieval, machine learning and related areas. In 2011, he received the Scientific Merit Award from the Brazilian Computer Society. In 2016, he received the Friend of Science Award, Friend of FAPEMIG, at the 30th Anniversary event of the Minas Gerais Research Support Foundation. In 2017, he received the FIEMG Good Example Award, Dom Cabral Foundation, O Tempo News and Rede Globo Minas and the Santos Dumont Gold Medal given by the Governor of the State of Minas Gerais.
