Kadígia Faccin

Professor Kadígia Faccin is a specialist in Innovation Management, Collaborative Governance, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystems.

An Economist by training, she completed her Ph.D. through a joint doctoral program between the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS), Brazil, and the Université de Poitiers, France. She is a Research Productivity Fellow and was recently awarded the Young Researcher in Innovation Award by the Brazilian Academy of Management.

She regularly publishes in leading academic journals, including Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Business Research, Management Decision, and Journal of Engineering and Technology Management.

A researcher with extensive experience in studying and orchestrating innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems in Brazil, she has recently launched a research project aimed at advancing the understanding of collaborative governance within entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Her research interests also include Responsible Innovation, sectoral studies on Sustainable Agriculture, and Collaborative Strategies designed to address Grand Societal Challenges. Building on a well-established research trajectory in innovation, she has expanded her scope by integrating legal perspectives into this field.

Her current research project examines how fiduciary duties of corporate boards can be reinterpreted through the lens of Responsible Innovation principles, bridging academic rigor and practical impact.

She has supervised three doctoral dissertations under joint-supervision agreements with IGR Rennes (France) and La Salle Ramon Llull University (Spain). She has also served as a Visiting Professor at the Université de Poitiers, Université de Rennes I, the University of Exeter (United Kingdom), and the University of Stavanger (Norway).

Fluent in both French and English, she maintains active international collaborations with scholars researching entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ecosystems.​‌
