João Castro

Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from MIT, United States. He is Head of the Center for Digital Business and Technology at Nova SBE. He is also a non-executive director at Grupo Impresa, helping promote innovation and the exploration of new businesses, and a partner at Ganexa, a Seed Capital company. He has extensive experience as a manager of technology and innovation projects in areas such as internet, education, public transportation and FMCG. During his professional career, he was Director of Disruptive Innovation at Sumol+Compal, managing pioneering projects and businesses and programs promoting the development of an innovation culture at the company. He teaches and researches in the areas of innovation, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, product development and design thinking.
