Iris Firstenberg

She is Adjunct Professor of Psychology at UCLA and Adjunct Associate Professor of Management at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. She teaches courses on problem solving, decision making, and innovative thinking in the psychology department and in Anderson's MBA programs.

She also gives seminars on creativity and innovation to a wide range of Fortune 500 organizations, including companies in the aerospace, software, healthcare, defense, telecommunications, energy, financial services, retail, and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as government agencies such as NASA.

She is co-author, with Moshe Rubinstein, of three books: Patterns of Problem Solving (1995), The Minding Organization (1999), and her latest book, Extraordinary Outcomes: How to Shape the Future in a World of Uncertainty (John Wiley & Sons, 2014).

She won the 2002 Award for Teaching Excellence from the UCLA Department of Psychology Faculty and, in 2011, the UCLA Extension Award for Teaching Excellence.
