Heitor Coutinho

Heitor Coutinho is a Professor in the areas of Strategy, Organizational Change, and Project Management at Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC).

He holds a Master’s degree in Administration, with a concentration in Management and Innovation, from PUC Minas, and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School, INSEAD, UC Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, and Singularity University.

He serves as a volunteer for PMI Global (USA) in Global Practices Analysis, is a member of the Board of Directors of IPMA Brazil’s Business Council, a member of the Association for Project Management (APM, United Kingdom), and serves on the Advisory Board of Mundo PM Magazine.

In academia, he has held several leadership positions, including Scientific Director of the Master’s Program in Program, Project, and Business Development Management at SKEMA Business School, Director of the Specialization Program in Electronic Business Management at PUC Minas, and Director of the Specialization Program in Competitive Intelligence offered jointly by the Brazilian National Institute of Technology (INT/MCT) and Université Aix-Marseille III.

At Fundação Dom Cabral, he has served as Director of Customized Programs, Director of the The CEOs’ Legacy initiative, and Director of the Advanced Management Program (PGA), developed in partnership with INSEAD.

Prior to his academic career, he held executive positions at Belgo Mineira Sistemas and BMS Software, and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Companhia Sulamericana de Distribuição.

He is the author of the books From Agile Strategy to Results (Da Estratégia Ágil aos Resultados) and The Leader and His Legacy (O Líder e seu Legado).​‌
