Fabio Gandour

Fabio Gandour was Chief Scientist at the IBM Brazil Research Laboratory from 2010 to 2018. A pioneer in recognizing the need to create a research laboratory in Brazil to concentrate efforts on innovation and produce a positive impact on business. To support this vision, he promotes the concepts of "Science as Business" in Brazil and internationally. Gandour holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Throughout his career, he has worked on developing solutions based on technology and marketing strategies. More recently, he has focused on innovative processes applied across multiple industries and in the services sector. He is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology and the New York City Academy of Sciences, two traditional institutions in the context of Innovation, Science, Technology and Research.
