Denise Hills

With a career that combines 30 years of experience in the financial market, including areas such as Treasury, Risk Management, Wealth Management, and Behavioral Finance, and 10 years working in innovation and sustainability in the financial sector, consumer goods industry, and retail, she has extensive national and international experience in sustainable finance, corporate sustainability, inclusive social business, sustainable and impact investment, risk management, entrepreneurship, human rights and diversity, and positive-impact sustainability strategy related to the UN (United Nations) SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) for companies.

Dedicated to promoting sustainability and responsible business practices across various sectors, on topics such as carbon, climate change, biodiversity, human rights, diversity and inclusion, certifications, and management and risk systems, her work integrates strategy, sustainability, and innovation from a business perspective, making these topics differentiators in the business models of companies and third-sector organizations.

She was the first woman to chair the UN Global Compact Network Brazil in 2015 and was recognized as an SDG Pioneer Global for her work in building the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, with a focus on Sustainable Finance. She led the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) as Co-Chair for Latin America and Global (2015-2017).

She is the author of books on behavioral finance and sustainability.
