Axel Sande

Axel Sande is a Guest Professor at Fundação Dom Cabral in the areas of Innovation, design thinking and storytelling. He holds a Ph.D. in Design from PUC/RJ and a Master's in Design from ESDI – Escola Superior de Desenho Industrial/UFRJ. He is currently creative director at Gabinete de Arte, working on the conception and development of strategic communication projects. He has worked as an Editorial Illustrator for books, magazines and newspapers in Brazil and abroad. Main publications: The New York Times and O Globo newspapers; Exame, Veja, Internet World, Sports Illustrated and IBM Systems magazines. He gives lectures and workshops on innovation, the creative process, design thinking and user experience. In 2015, he was named Embaixador del Diseño Latino by Universidade de Palermo, Argentina, and was a member of the prestigious Society of Illustrators, based in New York.
