Ana Burcharth

Ana Burcharth is a researcher and professor in the fields of Innovation Management and Strategy. She has been a Full-time Professor at Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC), Brazil, since 2015 and a Visiting Professor at Aarhus University, Denmark, since 2017.

She earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Aarhus University in 2011. She also studied at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (doctoral exchange program), Aalborg University (MSc in Knowledge, Innovation and Economic Dynamics), the University of Nottingham (exchange program), and the Federal University of Minas Gerais (B.A. in Economics).

Her research interests focus on the organizational aspects of innovation, both at the intersection with social psychology, including attitudes, cognition, and identity, and within the dynamics of external collaboration, such as open innovation and responsibility. Her current research addresses topics including innovation culture, digital transformation, and responsible innovation.

Her current research lines are Innovation Management and Open Innovation:

1. Innovation Management. Investigates why organizations respond differently to technological change, seeking to understand the factors that explain variations in adaptation capacity, agility, and innovation integration.

2. Open Innovation. Explores how organizations structure external partnerships, exchange knowledge, and capture value through collaborative innovation practices, while addressing managerial challenges and digital transformation.
