The FDC Covenant was prepared for the first time in 2006 and it expresses the institution’s commitment to ethics in its relations with all its stakeholders. It offers guidelines to build harmonious relations both internally and externally.
First issued in 2006, FDC's Letter of Socialisation expresses the institution's commitment to transparency and ethics in the relationship with its different publics. It offers guidelines for the construction of harmonious relationships within and outside FDC.

For the purpose of expressing the principles that govern the institution, FDC implemented an outsourced and independent Ethics Channel, thus guaranteeing the confidentiality of users. The channel may be used to submit reports on ethical violations and misconducts, to offer suggestions related to conducts and the practice of ethics, and to clear up doubts about guiding documents, such as the Letter of Socialisation, and internal policies.
