In over 15 years of experience teaching sustainability and corporate social responsibility at Fundação Dom Cabral - FDC, the adjunct professor Cláudio Boechat has built up an extensive and diversified teaching and researching experience in the areas of organizational management focusing in social responsibility and sustainability requirements. His previous 20-year experience as an executive at CEMIG, provided him with strong understanding of the corporate reality.  At FDC he helped create and develop research and development centers on sustainability in retail and construction sectors, besides the centers for Responsible Management for Sustainability and Integrated Social Governance, with the participation of the private and government sectors. Among other projects, the SESI Sustainability Model for micro and small Brazilian firms’ competitiveness stands out, being applied countrywide in different sectors of the institution and being internationally recognized. Claudio’s national performance has led him to an international presence, creating and operating initiatives at UN (Global Compact, Including Initiative, Principles for Responsible Management Education, Globally Responsible Leadership Institute) as well as developing programs for international operation of Brazilian companies (Odebrecht and Petrobras) and foreign organizations (Ecopetrol and Equion – Colombia, Recope - Costa Rica and Ancap - Uruguay). Recently Claudio led the effort of professionals in the organization of the 4th Responsible Management Education Global Conference, that took place in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil under the responsibility of Prime Initiative, Global Compact from UN and PNUD, in Brazil. Professor Boechat has established an extensive network, allowing him to permanently identify new room for knowledge innovation committed to the theory and practice of sustainable development. He has developed and applied knowledge in society collective governance and happiness in organizations and communities.  Both concepts have shown fast development in the global and Brazilian institutional scenario, helping all-sector organizations to position themselves proactively in the sustainable development of the society. He has lectured in international and national conferences and workshops.
