Prof. Francisco Teixeira is a guest speaker at FDC. He holds a Post-Doctorate Degree from Freie Universität Berlin - FU Berlin, Germany, a Doctorate Degree in Social History from the University of Berlin, a Master’s Degree in Brazilian History from Universidade Federal Fluminense and a Magister in Geschichte Wissenschaft from Freie Universität - Berlin, 1983. Teixeira is an Emeritus Professor of International Strategy at the Brazilian Army Command and General Staff School/ECEME, since 2015. He is a former full professor of Contemporary History at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ and full professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Universidade Candido Mendes – UCAM. Francisco Teixeira is a visiting professor at Friedrich Meinecke Institut (Freie Universität - Germany), Universidad Nacional de La Plata (IRI LA PLATA – Argentina), Zentrum für Antisemitismusforschung (Technische Universität – Germany), Royal University of Norway (URN/OSLO - Norway), L´Universitá di Áquila (Italy), Freie Universität Berlin (FU – Germany), Universidade Federal do Pará (Brazil) and Escola de Guerra Naval (Brazil). Professor Teixeira has worked as an Advisor of Strategic Policies at the Brazilian Ministry of Defense, Advisor to the Presidency of the Studies and Projects Funding Agency - FINEP and Member of the Pro-Sul and Pro-Africa Committees at the National Research Council - CNPq. Writer and columnist of Jornal das Dez, GloboNews and Consultant on International Relations for several organizations. He is the author of the books “La Políitca de Defensa y Seguridad Continental de Brasil delante de la crisis actual”, “Relaciones internacionales (La Plata)”, “A Segunda Guerra Mundial: 70 Anos Depois” and “Atlântico, a história de um oceano”.
