Raízes - Social Innovation Program

Personal development program for young people.

FDC’s Raízes program encourages young people to think critically. It provides access to humanistic content and subjects that are not typically covered in traditional school courses. More specifically, young people are expected to broaden their worldview, strengthen their sense of citizenship and embrace the diversity of the world around them. The goal is for young people to become the actors and producers of their own inclusion process.

Participants

The Raízes program is designed for young people between the ages of 15 and 20 from public schools and socially vulnerable regions of Brazil.

Methodology

The approximately 112-hour program is divided into seven sequential stages. Themes cover philosophy, relationships, the arts, Brazilian culture, sustainability, financial information, the Portuguese language and entrepreneurship.
