Marcos Troyjo was President of NDB - New Development Bank. He worked as Special Secretary for Foreign Trade and International Affairs at the Ministry of Economy from 2019 to 2020. He was co-director of BRICLab, a special forum on Brazil, Russia, India and China at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University (2011-2018), where he taught international relations. Troyjo is also a Transformational Leadership Fellow at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, and a Distinguished Fellow at the Hoffmann Global Institute for Business & Society, INSEAD. He holds a PhD in Sociology of International Relations from the University of São Paulo (USP) and obtained his post-doctorate from Columbia University. Economist and political scientist, Marcos Troyo went to Rio Branco Institute and took specialization and graduate courses at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. Troyjo is also a lecturer, guest professor at the Center d`Études sur l`Actuel et le Quotidien (Center for Current and Everyday Studies) at the Université Paris Descartes (Sorbonne), and a member of the International Schumpeter Society. Within his diplomatic career, Marcos was Press Secretary of the Brazilian Mission to the UN and Chief of Staff of the Department of Science and Technology of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
