Strategy
Livia Barakat is a professor and researcher on internationalization, global leadership, and knowledge management. She coordinates the FDC study " Internationalization Trajectories of Brazilian Companies" and the Assessments of International Value Creation and Global Mindset, applied in customized and academic programs. Professor Livia Barakat holds a PhD in International Knowledge Management from Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Livia serves as the academic director of the Executive MBA and has prior experience as an international project director at FDC, including partnerships with SKEMA Business School, the FDC International Advisory Board, and the AL-LAs Project for the Internationalization of Cities under the European Union. She has also taught at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-MG) and worked as a market research consultant. She is the author of numerous articles published in international journals such as Management International Review, Project Management Journal, Latin American Business Review, Journal of World Business, and International Journal of Emerging Markets.
Research Lines:
1. Global Mindset, Humility, and Responsible Leadership
Objectives: Broaden the understanding of behaviors and competencies that integrate a global mindset, cultural intelligence, and humility in leadership, and how they contribute to a global strategic vision and to addressing complex societal challenges in an ethical, inclusive, and sustainable way.

2. Internationalization of Firms
Objectives: Analyze the internationalization strategies of firms from different countries and industries, as well as the main challenges, opportunities, and outcomes of their global operations. Assess firms´ degree of internationalization, identify best practices and key success factors, and propose actions to increase competitiveness and positive impact in their internationalization process.

3. Knowledge Management
