Public Management
Caio Marini is an adjunct professor at Fundação Dom Cabral – FDC and focuses his professional performance on public governance and state reform. For over four decades, Caio Marini has participated in projects of public sector institutional development in Brazil and abroad.  He holds a Specialization Certificate in Industrial Engineering from PUC/Rio and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from EBAPE/FGV. Prof. Marini has worked in many managerial development programs, innovation and strategic results-based management programs for organizations such as BNDES, APEX, Brasil, EMBRAPA, Banco do Brasil, BDMG, ESAF, ENAP, CIEE, ANVISA, CNEM, PRODAM/SP, Ministries of Planning,  Health, Finance and Labor, Court of Auditors of the states of Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais and Rondônia, Distrito Federal and the states of Rio Grande do Norte, Tocantins,  Paraná, Pará, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, Goiás, Alagoas and Sergipe, State Secretariats for Planning and Finance and the administration of many federation units, Government Schools, City Hall of Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, Curitiba, Rio Branco, Contagem and São José dos Pinhais. Prof. Caio works in partnership with international organizations (IDB, World Bank and United Nations) international technical cooperation projects for the areas of State Reform and Public Governance. Prof. Caio Marini has held executive positions in the federal government, mainly at SERPRO/Ministry of Finance, where he was Business Director; Strategic Management Superintendent and Regional Administration Manager at the Ministry of Federal Administration and State Reform, and at the Special Secretariat for Administration and Finance.  Marini is a founder member of the GLAP – Latin American Group for Public Administration (initiative of  IICA/Belgium and INAP/Mexico), judging member  of the contest “Governarte: a arte do bom governo” in Latin America (organized by IDB), member of the judging committee of the prize Innovation in the Federal Public Management implemented by ENAP, member of the judging committee of the prize Excellence in Public Management in the State of Minas Gerais, member of the committee to elaborate the law to discipline public services user defense, and member of the Expert Committee in Public Management in Argentina.  Caio Marini was awarded with the prize Merit in Public Management 2016, granted by CONSAD (National Council of State Secretaries), and with the Hélio Beltrão Medal for his contribution to public management improvement. Prof. Marini has several articles on public management published in Brazil and abroad.
