Bruno Henrique Rocha Fernandes is an academic with a background in Business Administration, holding a Ph.D. from the University of São Paulo (2004) with a sandwich period at the University of Cambridge, England (2003). He also holds a Master's in Administration from the Federal University of Paraná (1996) and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of São Paulo (1992). He currently serves as director of the specialization programs and full professor at Fundação Dom Cabral, as well as a visiting professor at Woxsen University (India) and Burgundy School of Business (France). He is a permanent member of the faculty of the Professional Master's in Administration. His expertise lies in the area of Strategic People Management, with a focus on topics such as leadership, strategy, people management processes, and competency-based management.
Research Interests:
• Leadership and Organizational Dynamics: This line of research investigates the interaction between different leadership styles and their effects on individual and organizational variables. The work delves into topics such as the distinction between transformational and transactional leadership, the influence of leadership on psychological safety and happiness at work, and the impact of entrepreneurial leadership on employees' innovative behavior.
• Strategic People Management, Practices, and the Role of Organizational Actors: Exploring the relationship between people management models and organizational strategy, this research line is dedicated to understanding the practices and the role of key actors, such as middle management, in strategic execution. Furthermore, the research addresses contemporary work challenges, such as remote work and its implications for productivity, employee satisfaction, gender relations, and interculturality.
• The T-shaped Professional: Assessment and Career Trajectories: This project involves the development of an assessment tool for the T-shaped professional. In addition to developing a validated scale, the research aims to study the career perspectives of this professional profile; the predominance (or lack thereof) of this profile in ambidextrous organizations, among other topics.
