Strategy
Sherban is a professor, researcher and speaker for the areas of strategy and international business. He holds relevant executive experience in large and medium multinational and Brazilian companies. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais, and currently pursues a Doctorate Degree in Management from ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal. Currently, Sherban Cretoiu is an Adjunct Professor at Fundação Dom Cabral, a Guest Professor at FIA - Fundação Instituto de Administração and a Professor at SKEMA Business School from France. At Fundação Dom Cabral, Professor Cretoiu developed the International Value-Creation Model and he is also one of the coordinators for the annual research FDC Ranking of Brazilian Multinationals. He has also coordinated custom programs focusing on the development of global leaders for companies and government institutions such EMBRAER, BRASKEM and APEXBRASIL, MIP Engenharia, ATEX among others. He was a member of the Advisory Board of the Brazilian Globalizers Project of the WEF –World Economic Forum – 2013 / 2014. Sherban Cretoiu held international executive positions as director and manager in the following institutions and companies: Ljubljanska Banka, Tecnowatt, Facit International Sales AB (Sweden) and Fundação Dom Cabral. He is a former President and Member of the Corporate Board for International Relations at the Associação Comercial de Minas and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Brazil – India Chamber of Commerce. He is the author of several articles and book chapters focusing on strategy and international management. He was awarded with the Best Paper Award granted by AIB - Academy of International Business 2012, with the article Maximizing Triple Bottom Line Benefits Abroad: The Quest of Brazilian Multinationals.
