Fundação Dom Cabral’s Aloysio Faria Campus is located in a mountainous Nova Lima area – in the Greater Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Region (Minas Gerais state capital).
This is a history-rich region, whose earliest settlement dates back to 1700. For a couple of centuries, activities centered mainly on gold mining. Indeed, the famous Morro Velho gold mine is one of Brazil’s oldest and most productive.
