Standing next to the Alfa Center, the Caesar Business Hotel is the natural lodging inn for FDC program participants.
Belgo's Theater
Fully equipped in terms of light and sound, the 274-seat Teatro Belgo is used for an array of academic and cultural activities.
Front view
Inaugurated in 2001, Centro Alfa is a modern architectural project. Its concept pays homage to the famed São Francisco River, whose spring headwaters in Minas Gerais are stylishly reproduced in the Center’s design.
Back view
In Alfa Center’s back wing, one finds a lookout point overlooking a pretty man-made lake known as Lagoa dos Ingleses. This lookout point is part of a much-sought-after leisure space. An open-air amphitheater is also located in the same lake-facing back area.
Inner Yard
Alfa Center’s inner yard features a central garden, inspired by old farm plantation master houses, and a reproduction of the São Francisco River waters.
Meditation Hall
Next to the Belgo Theater, the inviting Alfa Reflection Space lures us to personal concentration and to reordering our thoughts.
Alphaville's Plaza
Alphaville Lagoa dos Ingleses, wherein FDC’s Aloysio Faria Campus is located, is a modern residential complex, hard by Federal Highway BR-040, which links Belo Horizonte to the historical twin cities of Ouro Preto and Mariana. It is part of a sightseeing complex around the famed Estrada Real road, which dates back to Brazil’s colonial days. The FDC Campus is some 40 kilometers from Belo Horizonte, easily accessed by a well-lighted four-lane paved road. In addition to the FDC Campus, Alphaville Lagoa dos Ingleses also houses a school, club, hotel and shopping center.
Business Center
Next to this diversified Information Center, program participants find a fully equipped Business Center (telephones, Internet access, main daily newspapers).
Academic Floor
The Alfa Center’s academic floor is dotted with classrooms, amphitheaters, and group-work rooms.
Cultural Space
The Alfa Center’s entire first floor is set aside for cultural, service and support activities. A Cultural Space, at the Center’s entrance, is reserved for art exhibits and events. To its left, the roomy Business Space holds social happenings and provides support to the Campus’ various academic activities.
Classroom
Classrooms are of the modular type, i.e., they may vary in size and configuration, to meet the needs of a given program and the type of activity called for in each class. All classrooms enjoy full sound, lights, projection and temperature-control infrastructure.
