| Transnationality Ranking of Brazilian Companies |
|
Purposes: Conducted annually since 2006 as an initiative of FDC, the Transnationality Ranking of Brazilian Companies draws a trajectory of companies’ engagement to foreign markets as well as assesses the performance of such investments. From a survey with the largest Brazilian business groups, transnational corporations are ranked according to their degree of internationalization. Every year, new topics are addressed in order to generate relevant knowledge to executives, participating companies and the academic community. The study’s results achieve wide coverage, both nationally and internationally, with published articles in magazines, newspapers, radios and television. | FDC Model on International Value Creation |
|
Purposes: Systematize a knowledge platform to underscore key strategic elements for value creation in the internationalization process of Brazilian companies, taking the following dimensions into account: value proposition, business model, organizational model, talent and leadership, and stakeholder management. The main goal of the project is to create a methodology to guide companies in formulating, assessing and implementing internationalization strategies. The project also aims to produce papers to be presented in scientific conferences and published in academic and executive journals. | International Subsidiary Performance |
Purposes: Instigate executives to think about the relation between international strategy and performance. Construct a tool for international performance assessment, adaptable to the specificities of companies, taking into consideration their purposes and strategic plans, as well as other variables which influence the international performance of units abroad. | Sustainability and Corpotative Social Responsability on International Operations |
Purposes: Analyze the influence of sustainability practices in the global performance of Brazilian multinational companies. In 2011, the main purpose of the research project is to underscore the relationship between sustainability and effective stakeholders management in the internationalization process. | Brazilian Foreign Affairs and Expansion of Brazilian Multinational Companies: synergies, links of interest, and disagreements |
Purposes: Explore the effective and potential contributions of Brazilian foreign affairs in the expansion of Brazilian business presence in African countries. Team: Sherban Leonardo Cretoiu, Flávia Alvim and Isabelle Neves. |
| Global managers |
Purposes: The study emerges with the evolution of the international mobility in Brazil and in the world. The aim is to verify how Brazilian companies are handling the increasing need to select and train managers with an international profile, which may contribute to the success of its foreign operations. The study also assesses the capabilities of global managers and identifies aspects that need improvement.
