Competencies can be either organizational or individual ones. Organizational Competencies consist of the combination of resources that makes an organization unique and gives rise to competitive advantage. Individual competencies unfold and support organizational Competencies, and they are related to the people who work at the organization. Therefore, individual Competencies must be aligned to strategy, to organizational Competencies and to the organization’s management model.
Preparing the Solution Competence mapping or development may be requested. Mapping means identifying, describing and classifying corporate and professional Competencies. Developing means identifying and working on the gaps that exist among the individual Competencies needed to carry out an organization’s strategy, both now and in future. |
