The stages of the selection process
• Filling in the enrollment form at the FDC site: www.fdc.org.br
• Presenting a letter of recommendation written by the candidate’s immediate manager. It will list his/her strong points and points that must be developed.
• Presenting a letter of recommendation written by the company’s HR department recommending the candidate’s participation in the program, detailing his/her career plan and contextualizing the Program (only needed for the In-consortium mode).
• Presenting proof of English-language reading proficiency or taking a test at an institution that has been selected by FDC.
• Personal interview.
• Feedback to participants/company.
Professional and academic development
The candidate’s professional performance is a determining factor in the selection process. S/he must have at least five years of experience and a relevant and upward-mobile performance. Such history must be confirmed by the company and by other references. Academic education and performance will also be analyzed.
Management potential and career plan
The candidates’ management potential will be assessed based on professional experience and career plans and also on the expectations and intentions presented by the companies. Furthermore, communication skills, interpersonal relationship, team-working skills, and the capacity to work at leadership positions will also be assessed.
Selecting the participant that fits the group
Candidates will be selected who will be in harmony with the group profile. Candidates whose profiles fit the program but that fall outside the group’s profile will be advised to wait for other groups to be set up.
Proficiency in English
It is indispensable that the candidate should have intermediate-level Englishreading skills. Only candidates who can prove their proficiency through certificates defined by the Selection Committee will be selected. The FDC Executive MBA will be predominantly taught in Portuguese. The program offers simultaneous translation for the content presented in English in the classroom.
Documentation needed
Candidates must provide their complete enrollment forms, curriculum vitae, copies of their Bachelor’s and English course certificates, and two professional recommendation letters. After it has received the documentation the Selection Committee will analyze and assess it and then schedule dates for individual interviews with the candidates
