Grand dinner at the Palácio dos Bandeirantes
Council members will visit the official residence of São Paulo’s governor
At the end of the first day of FDC’s 3rd International Advisory Council Meeting, August 15th, the Council members will be treated to a very special dinner at Palácio dos Bandeirantes, São Paulo’s government house and home to the Governor of the state. Council members will get a chance to meet the Governor, Geraldo Alckmin, and other government officials, while enjoying a delicious dinner accompanied by a live musical performance.
Originally planned, in 1954, as a University, Bandeirantes ended up replacing Palácio dos Campos Elísios as official residence to São Paulo’s government. It also houses four state secretaries and the Civil and Military houses, besides hosting temporary cultural exhibitions.
The Palácio also guards a collection of more than 1,700 items of historical and cultural value, among them paintings, sculptures, antiques and decorative objects. Its garden, with more than 90,000 square meters, houses two thousands species of plants and forty types of birds.
FDC will provide transportation to the Palácio and to the Grand Hyatt hotel afterwards.
