Its Knowledge Development Centers (Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Center, CCR Corporate Governance Center, Vale Leadership Development Center, Entrepreneurship Center, Business Management Center, International Business Center, Innovation Center, CCR Infrastructure and Logistics Center, and Business-to-Business Market Center) produce studies about companies and their management in Brazil, thus supporting the programs developed by FDC and translating its advances as a knowledge-generating institution.
Since it was created in 1976, FDC has had an international focus. Its first international programs trained Brazilian executives in France and Italy. In 1989, the school signed its first international alliance agreement with INSEAD (France) to train senior executives in the high-level Advance Management Program (PGA). FDC has collaborated with its international partners to promote open-enrollment and partnership programs in Argentina, Canada, Chile, China, France and the United States. In the past few years, FDC has worked increasingly with Brazilian and international companies to develop custom programs that are taught in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese. These programs have been held in Brazil, Angola, Argentina, Chile, France, Peru, Portugal, South Africa and the United States. New programs are being developed with FDC's partner schools for companies based in Colombia, Equador, India, Mexico, Russia and Spain.

Through its relationships with other local and international institutions, FDC accesses leading-edge management tools, participates in information sharing around the world and enhances its global vision. This strategy brings clients into direct contact with several cultures and approaches to executive education. FDC's international alliances encourage the development of joint research and programs, in addition to the exchange of professors and methodologies.
For the past four years, the Financial Times has ranked FDC's executive education programs among the best in the world – FDC was 13th overall in 2009 and in 2010 was considered the 6th best business school.
FDC is the only Brazilian institution and the best-placed Latin American institution in this ranking. International quality accreditations from EQUIS and AMBA, as well as membership in foreign associations, also attest to the quality and global scope of FDC programs.
